Delightful, unexpected discoveries - on a pleasant journey.  This is her choice for describing her work.  This multi-talented artist invites you to discover her art.

Sharon began drawing horses in small notebooks while in elementary school.  She did her first commission at the age of 14.  Sharon began her formal art training during high school at the South Bend Art Center in South Bend, Indiana where she studied under Mr. Marion Pilarski, a professor of fine art at Indiana University at South Bend.  She then attended Indiana University at Bloomington, Indiana for two years.  She studied fine art and art education.  Marriage brought her formal education to an end, but she continues to take workshops and classes to learn and grow as an artist.

Sharon is a multi-media artist working in oils, acrylics, watercolor, mixed media, pastel, french dye on silk, and drawing.  She likes to experiment with techniques and media to capture new and exciting essences of subjects.  She paints intuitively recording impressions. Her work is partly representational and partly abstract and always different.  Color is also an exciting element.

Along with her fine art, Sharon is  an award-winning stained glass artist.  She makes custom lampshades and leather garments as well as silk garments.  She has won awards in all categories.
